Rae Gala 

The Rae Gala is held each June to celebrate Sir Norman Rae’s gift of Northcliffe to the people of Shipley as an open space and place of recreation forever.   2010 will be the 40th anniversary of the gift of Northcliffe.

Rae Gala The entertainment is varied and extremely enjoyable. It includes dancers, a band, ‘Grand Coconut Shy’, jam jar tombola, ferret racing, donkey rides, head massage and face painting. Howard Toll makes a welcome appearance with his owl. The Hedgehog Rescue often have a baby hedgehog with them. Bradford Model Engineering Society run train rides. Northcliffe Project have plants for sale. The World Wildlife Fund usually have a stand and closer to home the Bradford Urban Wildlife Group.
